Summer’s in full swing, and Alger County is buzzing. Pictured Rocks Days brings the bay to life, Whiskey Ryan’s everywhere from East Channel to Bayshore and the Summer Concert in the Park Series kicks off Tuesday with Sky Pilots — just the first of many bands hitting Bayshore this season. From classic rock and blues to country and indie, the weekly shows promise something for every kind of listener.
This week has a little of everything: town meetings, trivia, stretch classes at dawn, quilt camp, cribbage and foraging for wild edibles. Whether you’re into bike rides or book clubs, yard sales or yoga, there’s something happening every day — and most of it within walking distance of a pasty.
