The Xmas in July races were held at the Xmas Motorsports Park in Christmas on July 21-23, bringing in over 1,000 motocross enthusiasts from around the Midwest.

The races were the midway point in the American Motocross Association District 16 season, which puts competitive riders from the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin against each other for the title. There are 24 divisions, with local riders ranked in the top 10 of multiple classes.

Racers will return for a set of points races on September 23-24, which will be the third-to-last weekend of the season and last races in the Upper Peninsula for the year.
