Spring / Maple Trees / Syrup
Soon, if not already, we will be seeing those familiar bags, hanging from the Maples. It’s always exciting to see and they encourage us to whip together some pancakes and waffles, right away. The Michigan Maple Syrup Association once again invites us to experience the unique process of collecting the sap, boiling it down and turning it into sweet syrup and other maple treats. There are Annual Michigan Maple Syrup Weekends all over Michigan and the closest one to us is in Rudyard, MI. Which is April 6-7. The locations are Besteman Maple Products and Michigan Maple Farms. Plan ahead and make a sweet, wonderful adventure out of this spring weekend. You will be amazed at the process of Michigan’s oldest agricultural activity.
