The Michigan Association of Christian Schools (MACS) promotes, defends, and assists Christian Education and its institutions in the state of Michigan as the state branch of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS).
This year, Munising Baptist School participated in an academic testing competition with MACS. Our students competed through tests in a variety of subjects. Three of our students placed in the top three in their subjects out of all schools in the MACS network.
Carson Frederick placed second in the 4th Grade Math exam.
Alta tied for second in the 5th Grade Math exam.
Hailey Hosteter placed third in the 6th Grade English exam.
The exams contained builtin tiebreaking questions, which were only scored for determining the top 5 places. MBS is proud of the following students who did not place, but were within tiebreaking distance: Huxley in 3rd Grade Math; Hunter Norton in 5th Grade Math; Alan Norton, Alexander Frederick, and Audrey Maloney in 6th Grade Math; Ethan Swift and Ezekiel Meskill in 8th Grade Pre-Algebra; and Colt Wright and Trek in Jr. High History and Geography.
