Michigan’s new fishing license and regulation season kicks off Monday, April 1, so anglers need to be sure they have purchased a new license for this fishing season in order to enjoy some great fishing opportunities. The 2024 fishing licenses are valid through March 31, 2025.

Don’t Miss the Total Solar Eclipse!

Monday, April 8th. It will be the only total solar eclipse in the 21st. Century, where totality will be visible in Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. It will also be the last total solar eclipse visible in the contiguous United States until August 23, 2044. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth. This occurs when the Moon’s apparent diameter is larger than the Sun, blocking all direct sunlight, turning day into darkness. What a spectacular celestial event to witness and endure.
