The Munising golf team sent their boys to an invitational at Gladstone on Monday, April 22. The event was a two person best ball format, held at Gladstone Golf Club.

The team of Cody Lincoln and Jamisen Ake was the top finisher for the Mustangs, shooting an 83. Blake Walther and Carter Deatsman teamed up to shoot an 85 and Carson Kienitz and Hudson Rockhill were able to hit an 89. “It was a bit of a struggle as none of the boys had played the course before,” head coach Bette Immel said. “It is a very narrow course which needs to be played with a lot of course management. Without knowing the layout of the course, the boys struggled more than usual.”

Munising had its girls team in Gladstone on Thursday for their season opening match. They are also scheduled to golf in Manistique on Monday at Indian Lake Golf Course, where both the boys and girls will compete.
