Superior Central cross teams run at Eskymos Invite

The Superior Central cross country teams saw more action on the course last week. On Thursday, October 3, they competed at the Eskymos Invite at the Escanaba Country Club. Out of 10 scoring teams, S-C had their boys place seventh place while the girls did not have enough runners for a team score.

Starting with the boys, Cody Moore had a solid sub-20 minute run, finishing 34th with a time of 19 minutes 48 seconds. Carter Korpi was 40th with a 20:40 while Clay Horne and Jack Kasten were 49th and 50th with runs of 21:54 and 21:55. Placing 62nd was Isaac Gleason on a time of 23:10, Cole Ozoga was 64th at 23:30, Gavin Stebelton finished 70th by crossing the line at 24:33 and Conor McDonald finished 71st with a 24:40. Adding a 79th place run was Chris Kulik, thanks to his time of 27:04 and behind him was Joseph Augustyn in 80th on a time of 27:47.

The Lady Cougars were one runner short of having a team score. They were led by Elaina Karvinen who was 39th at 25:40 and Kiera McDonald was 42nd with a 25:49. Emma Stoliecki ran a 31:08 and was 60th and Aiyana Taskey placed 62nd thanks to her run of 32:05.
