One UP Forum set for next week in Marquette
Upper Peninsula Michigan Works! and the One UP Collaborative are hosting the second annual One UP Forum at Northern Michigan University next Friday, June 6.
This event brings together key stakeholders and decision makers from across the Upper Peninsula, including business owners, economic developers and legislators. The event provides a chance to address problems the U.P. is facing while everyone is at the table to provide input and solutions, all while learning about updates and new projects happening across the region.
“This is our second time hosting this event. Last year was a great success with a ton of positive feedback,” said Megan Boddy, talent pipeline manager for Upper Peninsula Michigan Works!, who is helping to coordinate the event. “We look forward to getting the group back together again and putting our collective experience together to bring together U.P. business, education and economic development to take action and propel the U.P. forward.”
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day will begin with a keynote speech from Mark Perna, the founder and CEO of TFS Results, a consulting firm at the forefront of the shift in education and workforce development.
