Johns wins 2022 Veteran Service Provider of the Year

Alger County Veteran Services Director Becky Johns was named the 2022 Veteran Service Provider of the Year by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. “Being awarded the Veteran Service Provider of the Year for the State of Michigan is a huge honor,” Johns said.

As temperatures get colder and the nights longer, Michigan residents are urged to take action to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning by checking to ensure furnaces and carbon monoxide detectors are properly working while turning back the clocks for the end of daylight saving time Sunday, Nov 6.
