Voters will have a decision to make in May about how Munising Public Schools will pay for its school repairs. Munising Public Schools is asking property owners for a millage to establish a sinking fund for the school.

The 30th annual Trenary Outhouse Classic entertained hundreds of people with fast times and low-brow humor on Saturday, February 25. There was a record number of teams pushing various outhouses down the snow-covered street in downtown Trenary in front of an even larger crowd, but no one could have expected what happened at the end of the races.

Grand Marais came together in a flash after the UP 200 was canceled, putting on a special event to help preserve the weekend from both an economic and a cultural experience. Over 1,000 people came from all parts of the Eastern Upper Peninsula to participate in various events to take place of the largest sled dog race in the Lower 48.
