The Chatham Ski Hill will be opening later than expected due to a case of COVID with hill personnel. The illness was tracked to the Rock River Township meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 20, so those in attendance are asked to monitor for potential contraction of COVID. The new opening date is set for Saturday, Dec. 31.

Majority of Ray termination case dismissed

An Alger County judge has dismissed six of eight parts of Dr. Chelsea Ray’s wrongful termination lawsuit against Munising Memorial Hospital Association after a written opinion was issued Thursday, Dec. 22. The doctor was publicly terminated from the hospital in April of 2021.
