Spanish Day 2024
Munising’s Spanish 2 students enjoyed another Spanish Day on March 14 at Northern Michigan’s University Center where at least 10 different public schools attended. An estimated 200 attendants were at the event.

Cyberstangs Escanaba Recap
After eight weeks of brainstorming, prototyping and testing the Cyberstangs had a robot up and running. Cyberstangs team 6112 went to the Escanaba district event. There the Cyberstangs\had six wins and nine losses, and ended the competition ranked 19th.

Mustangs Shine at Forensics Meet
On Saturday, March 8, at Negaunee High, the Munising Mustangs displayed tremendous academic aptitude at the first official forensics meet. Bringing home the gold were Captain Hunter Merryman, Co-Captain Elizabeth Wing, and Grace Geshrick.

Official Jr. NHS Munising Public Schools Chapter Inducts 5 new members
Munising High School proudly inducted 5 new Junior National Honor Society members on March 1, 2024. Although the recent snowy week made for some abrupt adjustments, the Jr. NHS has registered a formal chapter, set up officers, and the current group members helped to modify the example Marquette script and ceremony to make the event more intimate for a library setting–a location of great knowledge.

MARQUETTE, Grow & Lead: Community and Youth Development is accepting applications for the Judy Watson Olson Education Enrichment Award through March 22. The award honors former Grow & Lead President and CEO Judy Watson Olson who spent her career ensuring youth had the support they needed to grow into successful adults.

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad Teams. Our Division B Team (middle school and some 9th graders) placed 1st in the U.P. today. Our Division C Team (high school) placed 2nd in the U.P. today. Both teams qualify for the State Tournament at Western Michigan University in May.
