The Bay College Men’s Basketball Team (2-0) started their season off strong this past weekend beating Harper College (1-3) by a score of 97-66 and Gogebic Community College (1-1) by a final of 8753. The games were part of the first of three classic tournaments the Norse are hosting this season.

The Bay College Norse Volleyball Team (11-16, 3-7) opened postseason play on Thursday evening at the 2022 NJCAA Division II Great Lakes District B Tournament. A sluggish start to the evening became too much for the Norse to overcome as they fell in three straight sets to Lake Michigan College (28-11, 10-2) by scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-20.

The Munising Mustangs Varsity Football team is on a winning streak. Closing the regular season with a strong finish of 9-0, and currently 1-0 in the playoffs, ’Stang Nation pride is abuzz.

The Superior Central Cougars are moving on after a dramatic 3-1 victory over rival Munising in the District 101 volleyball semifinals on Wednesday, November 2. Numerous volleys lasted over a minute in each set before the Cougars took the victory.

The 2022 Skyline Central Conference Volleyball Awards were released Wednesday before the second round of the MHSAA District Tournament. Numerous local players were recognized for their accomplishments, including Superior Central winning the varsity division of the conference and Munising winning the team sportsmanship award.
