Munising Memorial Hospital’s Physical Therapy Department has received a brand new NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer Bike. Not only is the bike used in a majority of patients’ therapy treatment plans, but the life span of this quality piece of equipment makes it very cost effective too.
The NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer Bike is essential for proper warm up prior to patients training sessions. This type of warm up will allow patients to properly warm up their muscles which enables a more effective training session. This style of bike suits a majority of their clientele with a wide variety of diagnoses.
“Because the bike is lower to the ground and does not require a step up, it reduces fall risk, which makes it a better option for our patients who may struggle with balance.” stated Physical Therapy Clinic Manager, Kris Tidd.
Jim Parker, FACHE, CEO of Munising Memorial Hospital would like to thank the Munising Memorial Hospital Association Board of Trustees for the authorization to purchase and provide this important piece of medical equipment which is used to help physical therapy and swing bed patients. “We are investing in our hospital’s future and the health and well-being of the people we serve.”
