Our Methodist church meets at 312 Lynn St. on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Sandra Kolder. Everyone is welcome! Children from kindergarten3394 through 6th grade are excused for Sunday School after announcements and songs. Following the service, a fellowship lunch is provided downstairs in Wesley Hall.
Communion is on the first Sunday of the month. Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table.
“Facing the Mourning” is a new community grief group beginning on Tuesday, October 31 at 10:00 AM for those who have lost someone close to them. It is a four-week study, with follow up as needed. This is a hard time of year for those experiencing loss. As we support each other, we will also discuss strategies for getting through the holidays.
There will be a community “Blue Christmas Service” on Dec. 21 at 6:00 PM for anyone who may be feeling some sadness, may not be ready for a jolly Christmas this year but still wants to celebrate our Lord’s birth.
Busy Bees Craft Group meets on Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m.. New sewers and crafters are always welcome.
The Bridge group plays on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.. Additional players are needed and welcome!
On Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. the Community Band rehearses. What a joyful noise they make! And they welcome new musicians too!
Our big fall event, the Holly Jolly Christmas Market, takes place on Saturday, November 11, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Featuring a Hot Chocolate Station, SilentAuction Items, Lunch with soup and sandwiches, Unique Gift Baskets, Crafts, a Cookie Walk, Baked Goods, Christmas Ornaments for sale, Homemade Dog Treats for sale, and Door Prizes.
Proceeds from the Christmas Market will be used for local Community and Missions projects.
