The Superior Central after school ski club will have new equipment to use after a grant from Alger County Communities That Care (AC3).

AC3 wrote a grant that covered the cost of 22 sets of skis, poles, and boots of various sizes through Munising’s South Bay Outfitters. The equipment will be used for kids who may not be able to obtain skis this winter.

The program, run by Erin Beaupied and Kim Spranger, has roughly 30 students that participate, mostly on the cross country ski trails near the school softball and baseball fields in Eben.
