The Vestry and Planning Team has approved a customary for use of our beautiful and versatile space by small community, social or personal group events such as showers, recitals/concerts, clubs, parties, etc. St. John’s church is a non-smoking venue. Visitors from four dioceses across the United States joined us in worship last Sunday to experience our practice of Mutual Ministry in Sunday worship and community interaction.
A celebration is planned for the day of Pentecost on Sunday, May 28 at the regular service time. The color red signifies the burning fire of God’s love. Red altar hangings and liturgical stoles are used to remember when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and tongues of fire rested on their heads. Wearing something red is customary. We invite you to join us!
Some members will participate in the Ecumenical Team project of road pick-up on M28 at 5:15 p.m. on May 25th.
