St. John’s invites public for events

We invite you to join us in worship and fellowship at 10 a.m. every Sunday. All are welcome! Come as you are. Handicap parking is available off the alley behind the church located at 128 W. Onota Street, Munising.

The Vestry and Planning Team has approved a customary for use of our beautiful and versatile space by small community, social or personal group events such as showers, recitals/concerts, clubs, parties, etc. St. John’s church is a non-smoking venue. Non-profit and for-profit events are welcome. Please contact Kim Moote (906360-0879) for more information or to schedule a date.

Visitors from four dioceses across the United States joined us in worship last Sunday to experience our practice of Mutual Ministry in Sunday worship and community interaction.

A celebration is planned for the day of Pentecost on Sunday, May 28 at the regular service time. The color red signifies the burning fire of God’s love. Red altar hangings and liturgical stoles are used to remember when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and tongues of fire rested on their heads. Wearing something red is customary. We invite you to join us!

Some members will participate in the Ecumenical Team project of road pick-up on M28 at 5:15 p.m. on May 25th.

The Vestry will meet at the church at 4 p.m. Thursday June 15th.
