GM Music & Crafts Fest continues
The 41st annual Grand Marais Music & Crafts Festival marches on today and tomorrow with music on the main stage starting at noon. A free concert was available Thursday night, but admission is required starting today.
Loonapalooza is tonight
The Friends of Seney National Wildlife Refuge will host the Loonapalooza fundraiser tonight at the Erickson Center for the Arts in Curtis.
There is a members only meeting at 5:30 p.m. before opening up to the public at 6:30 p.m.
Mid Pen sinking fund passes The third attempt was enough for Mid Peninsula schools, as the district passed a 10 year, 1-mill fund for school improvements.
DeTour’s millage election was also successful, which may give hope for the schools that did not get a new fund in place last May.
Peters starts statewide motorcycle tour U.S. Senator Gary Peters started his annual motorcycle trip of the state on Wednesday in Muskegon. He will make a trip up to the Upper Peninsula and stop in Escanaba and Ironwood, but not in the Munising area.
