Art In Abundance, an art gallery in Grand Marais, announced that they will be permanently shutting down after the summer season. The announcement was made on the gallery’s official Facebook page.

“It is with great regret to inform you that Art in Abundance will be closing at the end of the 2023 season. The last day the gallery will be open is the 30th of September. It has been an emotional summer for sure and this decision didn’t come easily. I am immensely sad, but somehow it feels OK,” ownership wrote in the post.

Grand Marais features a number of smaller galleries and artisan opportunities for visitors and locals alike, but Art in Abundance was the largest in terms of the display floor. The decision to close the gallery is the latest small business to relocate or close in the last year for the gateway community on the other side of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
