The Lake Superior Chapter of Finlandia Foundation National will hold its annual Independence Day/ Christmas party on Saturday, December 16, from 1 to 3 pm in the Magnuson Hall of Messiah Lutheran Church, located at 305 W. Magnetic Street in Marquette. All are welcome. There will be refreshments, and opportunities for Finnish conversation and learning about the Finnish Independence Day and Christmas celebrations. Free Store Distribution

Eden Lutheran’s Free Store distribution will be December 21st from 123pm and 5-6pm. We will not have the regular services on Saturday the 23rd or Sunday the 24th. The Christmas Eve services on the 24th are at 4pm and 7pm.

Toog’s Toys For Christmas

Munising Marine Corps League Detachment #550 is holding their Toog’s Toys For Kids Christmas Party on December 16, 2023 from 12pm-3pm. The event will be held at Methodist Church Hall, 312 Lynn Street. Children between the ages of 1-12 years old will receive a gift from Santa. Snacks of cookies and hot chocolate or juice will be provided. Our Family Brand’s “Direct Your Labels” program will give $25 for every 500 UPS barcodes collected, clipped UPC barcodes can be brought to the school to help in this fundraiser.

Silent Reading Book Club

A Munising chapter of the international Silent Book Club meets every Sunday at 2PM at The Falling Rock Café and Bookstore. There are over 500 charters globally. All levels of readers and books are welcomed.
