This Saturday, December 16

This Saturday, December 16 at 10:00 AM, at the Alger Parks and Rec building, there is a chance to get a jump on your New Year’s resolutions and support a noble cause. Sweating for a Cause is set to benefit Christmas for the Kiddos, a non-profit organization that provides hundreds of gifts to children who might normally not have a Christmas at all.

All proceeds from Sweating for a Cause will go to the Christmas for the Kiddos organization. They are also accepting donations to help spread Christmas joy. Donations in terms of cash or checks, new toys and gifts will be accepted in the Parks and Rec building, in the old kindergarten room.

Last year, Christmas for the Kiddos was able to help over 100 children celebrate Christmas. Getting on the road to wellness means that even more children and their families can receive much needed aid.

Sam and Jessica Brewer, who are hosting Sweating for a Cause, are donating their time and all proceeds to bring joy to these families. They are experienced with all levels of fitness, so whether you are a professional body builder or just thinking that maybe you need to change your somewhat sedentary lifestyle into something more active, this Saturday is a golden opportunity to help yourself and others.

There’s no need to wait for your New Year’s resolutions to kick in. At the same time you can help a child enjoy Christmas, a win-win situation for all involved!
