If you’re looking for someplace to be on New Year’s Eve in Munising, look no further. There’s plenty to do right in town, where celebrations abound!

Start with finding something for the kids to do. They’re guaranteed a good time over at Happy’s Place (formerly Satch’s Lanes) where kids in grades 6 12 can enjoy free bowling, plenty of food and pop from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. all courtesy of the Lions and Kiwanis Clubs of Munising.

Once the kids are squared away, why not sit in for some live music in good company? The Barge Inn is hosting three live bands starting with Drednot from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.. They are followed by Sky Pilots from 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. and end with Stranded from 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m..

If singing is more your thing, check in at the Bear Trap where they will have a DJ and Karaoke starting at 8:00 p.m..

That’s not all though. If your feet won’t stay still, there’s drinks and plenty of dancing over at Gallery Coffee Company starting at 9:30 p.m.

Don’t forget though – while spending New Year’s out and about is always a guaranteed good time, to drink responsibly. No one wants to start their New Year in the hospital or worse, so be sure to work out your designated drivers when you’re having a good time.
