On February 5, 2024, the regularly scheduled meeting of the Munising Township Board was held. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Clerk & Supervisor reports, the board moved onto unfinished business from the prior meeting. This included two topics: The cemetery property was first, where the board discussed the actions which need to be taken with the new cemetery plot. Next, the board discussed the expansion and the digitization of future meeting minutes. This included purchasing the services of a people to catalog future and previous meeting minutes, possibly online.

There was much new business discussed by the board, but the items which drew the most discussion were library funding, considering shutting down a building in Christmas due to its poor condition, and the seemingly successful proposition to build 4 pickleball courts at the park. Other items discussed include Township Hall closet expansion bid, Fire Department LED lighting bid, Replacing hall toilets, Employee wages, and discussing a draft 2024/2025 budget. The next regularly scheduled meeting will occur on March 4, 2024.
