Munising, MI – February 9, 2024 – As part of an ongoing initiative to promote sustainable practices and community empowerment, the Michigan Environmental Council and Alger County Renewable Energy Solutions are proud to announce the upcoming event: Green Bank Energy Financing. This educational gathering will take place on February 27th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Gallery Coffee Company in Munising.
This event aims to provide valuable insights and resources for homeowners, businesses, and municipalities interested in embracing renewable energy and enhancing the energy efficiency of their buildings. The event will feature a presentation by Michigan Saves, Michigan’s leading nonprofit green bank. Michigan Saves offers low-interest loans tailored to support individuals and organizations seeking to implement energy-efficient upgrades or invest in solar energy solutions. By addressing upfront costs, Michigan Saves facilitates the transition to sustainable energy practices, fostering environmental stewardship and financial savings.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from Michigan Saves, gaining firsthand knowledge about available financing options and the benefits of investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
After Michigan Saves’ presentation, the Michigan Environmental Council will facilitate a community energy future visioning session. This collaborative exercise invites attendees to share their perspectives and aspirations for a sustainable energy future in Alger County, fostering a sense of community engagement and collective action.
