Rock River Township Community Library Events for March

There have been a few changes here at the library! We were approved for a grant through AC3 and we now have new furniture! If you haven’t seen it yet stop by and take a peek! A fresh new look just in time for spring!

First Saturday Crafts 10am Saturday, March 2- Acrylic Bird Nest Painting. This is a free class offered at the library for all ages. Supplies are limited so there are 12 spots available. RSVP by Friday March 1st to secure your spot.

Preparing Hive Frames 10am Wednesday, March 6 – Join Mary Kramer-Rabine and the Alger Conservation for a beekeeper workshop on preparing wood frames and foundations! Register Online through the Alger Conservation District website.

Story Time 10am Saturday, March 9 – Join us at the library for stories, songs, show and tell, crafts and snacks. This month’s theme is eggs and show and tell theme is something new. Rock River Township Library is partnering with Great Start Collaborative to bring Rock River Township a local story time! This will be geared toward preschool aged children but siblings are welcome to attend.

Book Club 10am Saturday, March 16 – Join us for our monthly book club meeting. This month we will be chatting about “The Club” by Ellery Lloyd. Bring a warm drink and a friend. A breakfast pastry is provided.

Meet Your Farmer March 30 9am-12pm – FREE to attend. This morning will be filled with finger food (most provided by your local farmers), free raffle prizes from the farmers, and goods for sale from local farmers. TEN of our local farmers will be here to talk to the community about their farms, their practices and their product. You don’t want to miss this one!

Munising School Public Library Book Drop Dates for March : March 6 and 20. Every month we receive new titles from Munising School Public Library that are on loan to us for several months that go on our ever rotating MSPL shelf. Come check it out.
