Staff Sergeant Stephan C. Miron

Major Awards & Decorations: Air & Space Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal Nominated by his Grandfather, Doug Miron Sergeant Miron is the NCOIC of the LeMay Center’s Intelligence Directorate System’s support team managing policy and protocols for network capabilities handling TS/ SCI. He is also the lead COMSEC Responsible Officer for the base’s largest account consisting of 33 vital systems valued at $284K. He supports Air University’s 1,500 compartmented information personnel security for 8 secure facilities and his team is the sole proprietor of Maxwell-Gunter’s AFJWICS program. Sergeant Miron entered the Air Force in September 2013. He completed Security Forces technical training in March 2014 and spent his time as a defender at Royal Air Force Base Croughton, UK and Tinker Air Force Base, OK. He later retrained to the Cyber Defense Operations field graduating in August 2020 and continued his active duty career at Tinker AFB. His time in security forces was spent participating in exercises and was distinguished for thwarting six unauthorized entry attempts into Protection Level 1 Resources and executing evacuation and cordon procedures for explosive detection equipment alerts. After retraining, he became NCOIC for the 552 Operations Support Squadron, Tinker AFB managing the largest Communications Security account for the Air Combat Command in support of numerous exercises and deployments for the E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System. Throughout his time in the military, he was deployed to Niamey, Niger and Al Udeid, Qatar. In Niamey Sergeant Miron supported Operation JUNIPER MICRON and JUNIPER SHIELD. His response teams protected over $46 million in Air Force assets, enabled 108 combat sorties, and the capture of twentyone high-value targets.
