Stuer leads Superior Central in four-set victory over Rapid River

Kylie Stuer had 14 kills, helping the Superior Central volleyball team stay on the attack all night on Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Cougars were hosting Rapid River and managed to secure a solid four-set victory, 25-14, 25-12, 21-25 and 25-20.

“The team played very strong offensively and with a lot of energy,” head coach Kris Bray said.

Stuer also had two blocks, two aces and six digs, while Kate McGee had seven kills, one block, nine aces and two digs. Ruth Johnson played well to get 17 assists, one kill, two aces and four digs, and Marissa Strohm managed seven assists, two kills and three digs. Peyton Smith contributed three kills, five aces and two digs.

Superior Central played host to Crystal Falls Forest Park on Tuesday, was at home to take on Munising on Thursday and will make the trip to Rock Mid-Pen next Tuesday.
