The library will be hosting a seed swap in anticipation of spring and the gardening season. Plan to bring in your extra seeds to swap with the other participants tomorrow, Saturday, March 22, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Find new varieties and make a few gardening contacts.
We will have info available about the Alger County Seed Library, proper seed-saving techniques and isolation distances. If you have heirloom, non-GMO seed that you would like to share with the Seed Library, please let the library staff know.

The Munising Library has a new catalog app for your smart device that will allow you to search our online catalog, place holds, renew your books, access our digital holdings and much more.
Available in the App Store and the Google Play Store, look for the Superiorland Library App and add it to your device, selecting Munising Library as your home library. The app even has a digital library card barcode that the library can use instead of your physical card to check out your books.
New book
This week’s new book is “Battle Mountain” by C.J. Box. Here is the publisher’s synopsis: The campaign of destruction that Axel Soledad and Dallas Cates wreaked on Nate Romanowski and Joe Pickett left both men in tatters, especially Nate, who dropped off the grid with his falcons to prepare for vengeance.
When Joe gets a call from the governor asking for help finding his son-in-law, who has gone missing in the Sierra Madre mountain range, he enlists the help of rookie game warden Susan Kany. As Nate and fellow falconer Geronimo Jones circle closer to their prey, Joe and Susan follow the trail to Warm Springs.
Little do Nate and Joe know that their separate journeys are about to converge … at Battle Mountain.
