Grand Marais Chamber of Commerce notes

What did April in Grand Marais look like?

It can be anywhere from snow storms to unseasonable 80-degree weather for a week that wakes up a mosquito or two.

A fast melt of feet of snow that combine rushing rivers that cause massive waterfalls!

April can also bring some spectacular Northern Lights that dance overhead for those with insomnia to enjoy.

For our local businesses however, it’s Spring Cleaning time. An opportunity not many year round businesses get to dive into.

During “mud season” as we lovingly refer to it, our local business’s shut down to the general public for a bit of time without fear of huge profit losses due to most folks not visiting this time of year and get to focus on making their establishments shiny clean as well as brainstorming about new upcoming menu and sales items.

Summer plans like the Splash in on June 16, 17 & 18 get included in planning, as well as our annual 4th of July celebration that will be a two-day event for 2023.

Fireworks on the 3rd, parade, games and other planned events on the 4th.

The Music Festival in August, the 10th, 11th & 12th will be packed with fun, and the Munising Bay Cruisers Classic Car Show & Block Party will be coming your way on September 15th!

With a summer packed with fun, we have a lot to get ready for and we cannot wait to see each and everyone of you that can make it this summer.
