Let us give thanks to the Lord our God

The Diocesan Eucharistic Congress was a privileged time of grace for those in attendance. We gave thanks to the Lord for the blessing that he gave us, especially the gift of the Most Holy Eucharist. We celebrated Mass, the source and summit of our life. There were prayerful Eucharistic processions, inspiring speakers and good fellowship. Many spoke to me at the Congress and shared how meaningful it was and expressed thanks for the Congress. I hope and pray that graces of the Congress bear fruit in our diocese for many years to come.

Whether or not you had the opportunity to attend the Congress, I invite you to become involved in the Eucharistic revival. The vision for the revival is a renewal of the Church through a personal encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist. I invite you to consider prayerfully how the Lord might be asking you to continue to deepen your faith and reach out to others to help them deepen their faith. Allow me to offer a few suggestions.

Get involved. Become a prayer partner, share a testimony or become a Eucharistic Missionary.

I have asked all the pastors and parish coordinators to appoint a parish point person for the Eucharistic Revival. If your parish does not have one yet, consider asking your pastor if that would be a good role for you. A parish leader’s guide can be found here: https://www.eucharisticrevival.org/lead.

Let us pray for a renewal of the Church through a personal encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
