After a solid 2022-23 competitive cheer season, the Munising Mustangs have more to celebrate as the All District and All Region teams have been announced.

Receiving the highest accolade was Hayden Graves, who made the All Region Second Team. Her sister Halle Graves was named as a regional honorable mention.

Six Mustangs were honored at the district level. Jolie Ake, Savannah Lassila and Halle Graves were named First Team All District, while Hayden Graves and Bailey Tyner were named to the second team. Athena Platt was named All District Honorable Mention.

A program with lots of success despite low numbers, the Munising Mustang competitive cheer team qualified for the MHSAA Regionals this season. While no Upper Peninsula teams made the top eight to be considered for the state finals, Munising and Gladstone both advanced the farthest in the tournament.
