The Northern Lights League has announced their all-conference teams for the boys and girls basketball season.
Munising Baptist’s Ryan Swift finished in second in the voting behind NLL Player of the Year Brayden Altoft of Maplewood Baptist. Swift was the highest ranked player from Alger County in the voting, with younger brother Dylan Swift receiving Honorable Mention designation.
Maplewood Baptist swept the Player of the Year recognition as multiple All-U.P. Honorable Mention player Chloe May was the top vote-getter on the girls side. She beat out Big Bay de Noc’s Alix Bleau and Camryn Pederson, who split the vote between the two teammates. Alger County schools of Munising Baptist and Grand Marais did not field a girls team this year.
The league does not name coaches of the year or sportsmanship awards.
