In the 63kg class, Maddox Khalimsky went 2-1 in his three matches to earn another bronze medal for the Northern group.

Everyone from NMU picked up at least one win.

“I think that the tournament was a success for us,” Assistant coach Parker Betts said after the tournament. “For a lot of our guys, it was their first time overseas, so several factors come into play with travel, fatigue, nerves, and etc., but they handled it all very well. Everyone has their heads high right now with a handful of medals and the team championship. Everyone on the team showed something positive during the tournament, but we have plenty to work on, as well.”
