With injuries mounting, wins have been hard to come by for the Superior Central girls basketball team recently. They found a much-needed victory on Monday though, when they took down visiting Hannahville Nah Tah Wahsh, 46-28, and snapping their unwanted five game losing skid in the process.
Freshman Peyton Adams had a starring role in the win, pouring in 30 points.
On Thursday, Feb. 8 S-C lost a road game at Bark River Harris, 76-13. Further details were unavailable.
On Monday, Feb. 5 the Lady Cougars played at Rock-Mid Pen. They kept things close, but were unable to pick up the win, falling 47-42.
Adams had plenty of points in this one as well, as she torched the net for 34 points.
S-C (6-9 overall) continued their season at Big Bay on Wednesday, was at home against Munising on Thursday and is set to host Carney-Nadeau on Monday.
