In their lone action during the week, the Munising tennis team made the trip to Negaunee on Thursday, September 19. The Lady Mustangs dropped the match unfortunately, with a final score of 7-1.

Jolie Ake, playing at number four singles, was their lone match winner.

“The girls played well against them though, they had some really good points,” head coach Abbie Hayes said. “We’re now focusing on conference and UP Finals in these last two weeks.”

The Mustangs were also scheduled for a match at Escanaba on Monday, September 16, but that event was canceled.

Munising was at Gladstone for the conference match on Wednesday and will compete in the UP finals in Iron Mountain on Wednesday, October 2.
