The Munising wrestling team capped off its regular season last Saturday, hosting the Mid-Peninsula Conference individual tournament. One Mustang finished on the podium in the event.
Nolan Dolaskie (144-pound division) finished third after going 3-1 on the day. His meet started with a 20-4 tech fall over Bret Sapikowski of Gwinn, but then he lost to Peyton Black of Negaunee by getting pinned in the second period. Dolaskie bounced back in the next round by pinning Ryan Juhola of Westwood in the second period. In the third-place match, he topped Ryder Forvilly of Gladstone, thanks to a pin in the third period.
Also competing for the team were Drew VanLandschoot (132), Kalijah Wieczorek (150), Brody Johns (157), Blake Tyner (175) and Kyler Bond (285).
Munising was scheduled to host a Division 4 team district meet on Wednesday and is set to compete in individual districts on Saturday at Manistique.
