Rod DesJardins, a familiar face in Munising government, has returned to public service. At its Dec.

Michigan State University Extension has announced that registration is now open for its next Foundations of Gardening course. Foundations of Gardening, or FOG, is the horticulture course for those wishing to apply to the MSU Extension Master Gardener Program or for those seeking horticultural training for personal reasons.

The National Park Service on Dec. 4 issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Miners Falls Viewing Platform and Steps Replacement Project at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This project aims to provide safe public access to the Miners River and the base of Miners Falls while reducing impacts to the natural environment.
