TaleSpinners Storytime meets on Mon., Nov. 28 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate Clifford the Big Red Dog. They will be reading stories, singing songs, and a super fun Clifford craft will cap the program. We look forward to you and your little one joining us for this 25-minute interactive weekly event.

“Senior’s Coffee & Tech Help” will take place on Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. During this 30-minute time, we will help troubleshoot minor tech related issues, answer tech questions to the best of our ability, and show you the products and services available from the library for your device. Senior’s Coffee & Tech Help meets at the library on third Thursdays at 10 am. Learn something new, or just stop by for the conversation.

Two Upper Peninsula colleges are advancing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament, while one is headed to the offseason. The top seeded Ferris State Bulldogs bumped out Lake Superior State in straight sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

Cougars perform at NMU Band Day
The Superior Central Marching Band joined 16 other schools from Michigan and Wisconsin at the Northern Michigan University Band Day on Saturday, Oct. 29. It was the third year in a row for the Cougars to perform in the mass band exhibition.

Burt Township Schools full of action
When I say we have a lot going on at the school, that might in fact be an understatement. In thinking of topics for this month’s superintendent’s corner I couldn’t pick just one thing to write about. Instead, I went in the opposite direction. I’ve decided to highlight as many things as I could think of so that you can get a sense of just how much we have to offer at our humble little school. This list is not really in any particular order.

North Shore Needles, the library knit and stitch group will start meeting again at the library on Fridays at 10 am. Bring your knitting, crochet work, embroidery or whichever needle project you are working on and join in on the conversation. The library carries Interweave Knits Magazine and has numerous other resources to help you grow as a needle artist if you are just starting out. Don’t forget that the library also needs donated items for the Mitten and Hat Tree in December—a perfect opportunity to use your needle skills.
