Saturday was quite a good day for the Munising wrestling team. The Mustangs were at Kingsford for an individual tournament, where 15 other teams from Michigan and Wisconsin battled it out.
Winning last Friday’s game against Brimley at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit was a pretty cool experience for the Munising girls basketball team. Beginning the season without a loss through their first six games is pretty good, too, but the Mustangs are anything but satisfied.
The 31st Annual New Year’s Eve Glow Bowling event was a shining example of community spirit, hosted by the Munising Lions Club in partnership with the Munising Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club of Alger County and Munising’s Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 237, bringing the community together once again to celebrate safely.

After dropping a pair of games at a tournament over winter break, the Superior Central boys basketball team got back on track last Friday. The Cougars were hosting Engadine in a nonconference contest, and they were able to lead the entire game, resulting in a 5135 victory.
