Letters to the Editor

I’m not a pastor, but I’ve been a Christ-man for a long time, so I’m writing this as a letter to the editor.

Concerned about sickness? Let’s get to the root of it. A phrase in Revelation chapter 1 begins, “To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins with His own blood…”Another version says He washed us from our sins with His own blood. Another says, The Message says He loves us and blood-washed our sins from our lives. How much does He love us? Enough to free everyone in the world from our sins with His own blood 2,000 years ago. Picture a complete blood transfusion. When anyone accepts his/her salvation, he accepts God’s sending His Holy Spirit into our human spirits. The moment that happens, God’s divine nature replaces our sin natures with God’s abundant, eternal Life. Here’s the thing; when we receive Jesus as our Savior, freedom from all sin’s consequences, including every kind of sickness, is legally ours.

God has done all He’s going to do about sickness until the end of this age. It’s up to individuals to act on our authority and finish our assignment, taking the blessings Jesus purchased for us with His own blood, and enforcing them. The Bible says faith comes by hearing the Word of God. And faith is believing that what you say of God’s supernatural Words will come to pass. Another way to say it is when our heads catch up with our hearts.
