Munising’s prestigious “Under The Lights” Invitational was Friday, May 12, with 14 schools competing at picturesque Mustang Stadium.

The host Mustangs finished in second for the boys side while the girls took third. Bark River Harris won the girls title, beating second place Stephenson by 10 points and third place Munising by 20. The Pickford Panthers, one of the favorites for a U.P. Finals Division 3 title, won the boys title. The Panthers had a 68-53 advantage over the host Mustangs.

The event saw over 200 competitors, dozens of coaches and volunteers and hundreds of fans, making Under The Lights one of the largest sporting events of the calendar year in Alger County.
