Munising’s Fourth of July celebration doesn’t happen by accident — it’s the work of a small army of volunteers, coordinated by a nonprofit committee that operates year-round.
About six years after it was first proposed, the long-delayed Munising Marketplace development is again inching forward — this time with a new strategic partner, updated plans and a race to meet a critical year-end deadline.
By the time you’re reading this, the Freedom 5k is likely underway and downtown is gearing up for a full day of music, food and fireworks. But the celebration doesn’t stop today. All week long, there’s something happening — cribbage games, fitness classes, bouquet workshops, playgroups and a packed music schedule that stretches from patios to pavilions.
