Art in Abundance announces closing

Art In Abundance, an art gallery in Grand Marais, announced that they will be permanently shutting down after the summer season. The announcement was made on the gallery’s official Facebook page.

Eden Lutheran worships on Saturdays at 5 p.m., and on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee fellowship. Eden offers “open communion” at the Lord’s table, where all are welcome.

The Munising Bay Cruisers will host its annual car cruise to Grand Marais on Friday and car show on Saturday. The cruise will take motorists from Munising up H-58 for a block party and more in Grand Marais before setting up at the grounds north of the M-28 roundabout at 10 a.m. on Saturday for the car show.

Q: I have been hearing more on the news about an apparently new disease called ‘acute flaccid myelitis’; I have two young children – is this something I should worry about? A: This disease, which is known as AFM, is quite rare, affecting 1-2 in a million children. CDC surveillance of this disease only began in 2014, because of the increasing number of cases being diagnosed in the U.S.

Tail Spinners Storytime resumes after the summer hiatus! Storytime will take place this coming Monday, Sept. 18th at 10:00 A.M. Pre-school aged children and their caregivers are invited to attend to hear stories, sing songs and make a simple craft. This 30 minute activity is for ages 7 and under.
