The Superior Central Cougars have brought home another second-place trophy to Eben Junction, after the boys cross country team finished as runners up in the MHSAA Division 3 U.P. Finals.

Munising girls take second at finals

The streak of MHSAA U.P. Cross Country Finals victories for the Munising Mustangs girls program has come to an end. After three straight championships, the Mustangs took second place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Farmhouse B and B course in Gladstone.

Conklin wins MS XC title Emma Conklin, a sixth grader at Munising Middle/ High School, won the U.P. Middle School cross country championships at Gladstone’s Farmhouse B and B course on Friday, Oct.

Drop-in Center to reopen with new director

The Get Away Drop In will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 31 after being closed for roughly six months. Informally known as “The Drop In”, the center has been without a director since April of this year. Without a director, The Drop In was unable to open and serve the community.

Diane L. Rantz

Diane L. Rantz, age 75, of Munising and formerly of Bristol, WI, died Sunday, October 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends.

New salon open in Trenary

Gemini Studio, a new full-service salon, is open in Trenary under owner Lisa Johnson. “I’ve been working about 3-4 days a week, but we’re getting busier and busier,” Johnson said.
