SC sweeps Hannahville in first CUP contests

The Superior Central Cougars swept the Hannahville Soaring Eagles on Monday, February 13 in a varsity doubleheader. It was the first of two scheduled meetings between the new secondary conference rivals, with both games being comfortably won by SC.

Polar Plunge breaks records

The 2023 Munising Polar Plunge was a great success with a record-setting performance of locals braving the pool of icecold water on Saturday, February 11. “It’s absolutely amazing,” said Polar Plunge Co-organizer Carla White.

Munising defense beats Pickford

Defensive effort led the way for the Munising Mustangs girls basketball team, as they shut down the Pickford Panthers 4220 on Monday, Feb. 13 in the Munising Middle/ High School gymnasium. Pickford failed to score a basket from the floor until halfway through the third quarter in the Munising victory.

Superior Central sweeps Big Bay

Superior Central basketball had a varsity boys and girls basketball sweep, defeating the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears twice on Friday, Feb. 3 in Eben Junction. The win increased the boys to a 5-9 record on the year and the girls to 9-4.
