Superior Central claims wins over Negaunee JV

They were wins over a JV team, but considering how talented the program is at Negaunee, Superior Central softball head coach Rich Swajanen still felt pretty good about their 22-6 and 20-16 victories over the visiting Lady Miners on Monday. “We were happy with those wins, we hit the ball hard,” he said.

Munising track hosts annual under the lights event

The Munising track and field teams served as hosts to their annual Under the Lights event on Friday. More than 13 teams took part in the event, with the Mustang boys placing fifth and the girls were ninth. Superior Central was also in attendance, but did not tally any team points.

Munising tennis has busy start to season

Ben Murphy With May finally on the calendar, the Munising tennis team has taken full advantage of the warmer temperatures. They’ve had a busy start to the season, with their most recent match taking place on Friday in a JV tournament in Marquette.

Pictured Rocks Cruises begin another season

The Pictured Rocks Cruises has already begun their new season. The popular tourist destination in Munising opened for the year on Saturday, and according to operations manager Keegan Nebel, things are off to a great start. “We had about 500 people show up on opening day, which is very good,” he said. “We are excited to get back to it and hopefully have a busy summer.”
