Michigan Beer

Whether you are a lover of IPAs, stouts, lagers or just love trying new beers, you won’t have to go far to find a great brewery in Michigan. With approximately 400 breweries in the state, including about two dozen in the Upper Peninsula, even an enthusiast will have a hard time trying them all. Choices range from Frankenmuth Brewery, which was established in 1862 and promotes itself as the oldest microbrewery in the state, to Detroit’s Traffic Jam and Snug, the states’ first brewpub, to more recent additions, such as LaTulip Brewing Company in Cooks, established in 2020.
