Helen Marie Anderson

Helen Marie Anderson, age 98, of Munising, died Monday, September 16, 2024 at Harbour View Assisted Living in Munising. She was born on July 2, 1926 in Munising to the late Charles and Mary (Tyner) Beaudette. Helen graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1945. She married Alard A. Anderson on September 11, 1948 and together they raised their two daughters. Alard absolutely doted over Helen. They loved to golf, dance, play cards, and travel all over. In their retirement they wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida for over 20 years making many new friends. After they would come home from Florida they would often entertain their winter friends here in Munising and travel to their homes all over the U.S. Alard preceded Helen in death March 2, 2007. Although they did so much together and Helen missed Alard, she grew and strived on her own for the many years to come. She continued to golf at Pictured Rocks Golf and Country Club where she was a member into her 90’s. Helen played cards almost every day, rummy, euchre, bridge, it didn’t matter the game she would play. Helen also was involved in craft groups making beautiful home-made cards and decorations for the holidays. Helen was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Church.
