On January 18th at approximately 1410 Alger County Dispatch received a 911 call from a female subject advising that her mother was discovered unresponsive with agonal respirations. Deputy Will Seymour took the 911 call.

Second quarter woes doom Munising girls in regional final loss to St. Ignace

The first quarter? That went about as well as the Munising girls basketball team could have hoped. The second quarter? That was another story unfortunately, as the Lady Mustangs were outscored by St. Ignace by 18 points in that frame, leading to Munising falling 54-33 in their Division 4 regional championship game at Newberry.

Spanish Day 2024

Munising’s Spanish 2 students enjoyed another Spanish Day on March 14 at Northern Michigan’s University Center where at least 10 different public schools attended. An estimated 200 attendants were at the event.
